Chapter tours

1. The name of the chapter, and what it is about in a sentence.
2. Each lesson in turn — its title, and the one idea it teaches — with the actual manipulative from that lesson moving on screen.
3. A spoken narration over the whole thing, so you can listen rather than read.

There are 147 of them, covering math and science from Pre-K to Grade 5 and reading from Pre-K to Grade 5 — around three hours in total.

1. Open any chapter from the course list.
2. The tour is the first thing on the page, above the list of lessons.
3. Press play. Nothing downloads until you do.
4. For subtitles, use the CC button in the player. They are off unless you turn them on, so they never sit on top of the picture you are trying to watch.

Chapter 1 of every course is free, exactly like the lessons. Further in, the tour shows its title card and says it is part of membership. A video you cannot play is at least honest about what is there; an empty space would tell you nothing.

2. The videos come from the internet, so they are the one part of Cogito that does not work offline. Everything else still will — see On a phone or tablet.
3. On a slow connection, press play and give it a moment before deciding it is broken.
