For the grown-up
M and N are the two most often drawn as a scribble. Four strokes for M and three for N keep the turns visible, which is what makes them reproducible without a model.
K is genuinely hard because the two short strokes meet the stem at a point in the middle of nothing. If it goes wrong, it is not worth a second attempt in the same sitting.
Z is the only letter here with no vertical at all, and it is included because the two horizontals give the hand a rest after M.
